TRAVERTINE:
Travertine is a form of sedimentary limestone, made from compressed deposits left by calcite-rich hot springs.
LIMESTONE
Created when sedimentary layers of shells and micro-skeletons are ground into the seabed and then compressed into hard rock.
TUMBLED MARBLE
Marble is a crystalline rock formed when limestone is subjected to intense heat and pressure. The pieces in this sections have been tumbled in drums to soften and age the edges and surfaces.
MARBLE
Veining effects are inherent features of this natural stone.
NATURAL SLATE
Slate is formed when shale and mudstone are compressed by horizontal forces and low heat. It usually forms in basins between tectonic plate boundaries. Layers are created at right angles to the forces, and regrow perpendicular to the compression. Because of its unusual perpendicular formation, slate can be cut from the rock in sheets, ideal for building purposes.
HANDMADE TERRACOTTA
Terracotta’s distinct vibrant color is created when the iron content in the clay body reacts with oxygen, giving it a hue that ranges through reds, oranges, yellows, and even pinks.
